International Exchange Center

Message from the Director of International Exchange Center

The International Exchange Center was established in April 2024 to promote academic, educational, and cultural exchange with universities and research institutions outside Japan in order to contribute to education and research at Kyoritsu Women's University and Kyoritsu Women's Junior College. The Center aims to establish a stronger and more efficient support system by centralizing operations related to international exchange activities.
In addition to deepening ties with universities and research institutions outside of Japan, the Center plans and operates programs such as study abroad and language training programs in order to provide opportunities for students of the University to gain diverse international experiences. We are also committed to creating a global educational environment through the acceptance and support of exchange students and international students. Through these activities, we hope to further deepen our exchange with the international community and widely promote the unique characteristics of our university and junior college.
Going forward, we will continue to develop and enhance our international exchange activities and look forward to the continued support of our broader community.

Director of International Exchange Center
Professor Yuichi Sato

What does the International Exchange Center do?

The International Exchange Center at Kyoritsu Women’s University (IEC) offers various services for international students. First of all, we offer pre-enrollment education for international students providing information that’s necessary prior to enrollment. This helps you to prepare easily and effectively, and you can start your student life smoothly after enrollment. We also offer residence card renewal support, and we help you complete this procedure. We also arrange social gatherings and welcome parties where you can interact with other international students and Japanese students who are interested in international exchange (and you!). Along with this, we have a regular Japanese talk room where you can learn Japanese while having fun chatting with other international students and Japanese students. There are also English, French, and Chinese talk rooms, and you’re welcome to join those as well. Staff and faculty members are always on-site in the IEC in the Learning Commons on the 5th floor of Kyoritsu’s Building 2. In the Learning Commons, next to IEC, is a space where students can study freely, making it a gathering place for international students and students hoping to study abroad. For consultation and information on matters concerning study and living arrangements as an international student at KWU, just ask. We're here to help.
